As part of the presidential initiative, deposit accounts were opened in the names of orphaned children and children deprived of parental care aged 0–17. Each account was credited with $500 provided by the state, according to the press service of the Social Protection Agency.

The support applies to orphaned children and children without parental care living in local communities, residents of orphanages, family-type and small children’s homes, SOS Children’s Villages, children of fallen defenders of the homeland, as well as boys and girls undergoing treatment at the children’s oncology hospital affiliated with the Taskin Hospice.

Importantly, for children receiving treatment at Taskin Hospice, the funds in the deposit accounts may be transferred to a bank card at any time at the request of their legal representatives.

At the same time, upon the opening of the deposits, social cards were issued to children aged nine and older and to their legal guardians. These cards allow for the use of discounted public transportation, payment for goods and services, identity verification, and confirmation of eligibility for social assistance. All transactions can be monitored through the Baraka mobile application.
