The embassy in Warsaw reported that two citizens sought help: a man from Namangan who was in critical condition due to health problems, and a man from Kashkadarya who faced financial difficulties and had lost his documents. Embassy officials subsequently took the necessary measures to arrange their return home.
The ill citizen had been hospitalized with a diagnosis of stroke. In line with recommendations from a Polish medical institution, he received the required medical care until he was cleared to fly. The second citizen was assisted in restoring the documents needed to return to Uzbekistan.
Their repatriation was carried out by special transport on the Warsaw – Riga route, followed by a commercial flight on the Riga – Tashkent route. Entry permits to Latvia were arranged for both citizens to ensure transit. Transportation to Riga was organized and airline tickets were purchased.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, in 2025 financial assistance totaling $746,000 was provided to 4,085 Uzbek citizens who found themselves in severe financial hardship abroad. In addition, 250 citizens facing complex life circumstances, including minors, individuals who had lost their breadwinners, and victims of human trafficking, were repatriated to Uzbekistan.
