Uzbekistan Railways raises train fares again from February 1
Uzbekistan Railways JSC has announced another increase in ticket prices for a number of domestic passenger trains, effective February 1.

Fares for the high-speed Afrosiyob electric trains, as well as the Sharq, Nasaf, and Uzbekistan passenger trains, will rise by 15 percent.
In particular, the updated ticket prices for Afrosiyob will be as follows:
Tashkent – Bukhara
- VIP – UZS 1,138,000
- Business – UZS 760,000
- Economy – UZS 509,000
Tashkent – Karshi
- VIP – UZS 976,000
- Business – UZS 642,000
- Economy – UZS 429,000
Tashkent – Samarkand
- VIP – UZS 709,000
- Business – UZS 455,000
- Economy – UZS 311,000
The company stated that the increase in Afrosiyob fares is due to higher costs associated with technical maintenance of high-speed electric trains and spare parts, rising electricity and operating expenses, the need to fully ensure traffic safety, the requirement to continue providing services at the level of international standards, the maintenance and ongoing modernization of electric train infrastructure, and the objective of delivering quality services to passengers.
