Passenger traffic at Uzbekistan’s airports rises 15 percent year on year
Uzbekistan’s airports handled more than 15 million passengers in 2025, marking a solid year-on-year increase in air traffic.

A total of 128,972 flights were operated across the country’s airports last year, up 14 percent compared with 2024. Of these, 92,480 were international flights, while 36,492 were domestic services, according to data released by Uzbekistan Airports.
Passenger traffic reached 15,504,264 people in 2025, representing a 15 percent increase year on year. International routes accounted for the bulk of passenger flows, with 12,707,101 travelers, while 2,797,163 passengers used domestic flights.
Cargo and mail volumes also rose during the year. Uzbekistan’s airports processed 98,137 tonnes of cargo and postal shipments, which is 12 percent more than in 2024.
Uzbekistan Airports also reported progress in expanding international connectivity. In 2025, four foreign airlines began operating in the country: Air China and China Eastern from China, T’way Air from South Korea, and AirAsia from Malaysia.
