The enterprise, specializing in the production of high-voltage cable products, is being built on a 21-hectare site within the Eltech Industrial technopark in cooperation with Belarus-based Energokomplekt. The total value of the project stands at nearly $60 million. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to create around 600 new jobs.

The project is being implemented in two stages. Upon completion, the facility is projected to produce up to 25,000 tons of cable products annually, with an overall export potential estimated at $300 million.
Construction of the first phase is currently 98% complete, with more than $10 million in investments already utilized. The company plans to export its products to Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and CIS countries. Preliminary calculations suggest annual exports could reach $140 million at the initial stage.

Last year, Uzbekistan imported nearly $400 million worth of high-voltage cable products and insulated copper busbars. Once the new enterprise reaches full capacity, it is expected to manufacture import-substituting products valued at approximately $150 million annually.

Officials noted that of the 12 enterprises operating in this segment across Central Asia, four are located in Uzbekistan, underscoring the country’s growing role in the regional electrical engineering industry.
During the visit, the president was presented with proposals for further expansion of production capacity, diversification of product types and an increase in localization levels.
Mirziyoyev instructed responsible officials to expand industrial cooperation, ensure efficient use of local raw materials, introduce advanced technologies and strengthen the production of export-oriented, competitive goods.
