In a statement released by the diplomatic mission, strong rocket attacks on Israeli territory are expected on February 28. The warning follows earlier reports that Israel carried out strikes against Iran.
Given the situation, the embassy called on citizens to enhance personal security precautions, take necessary safety measures, and strictly follow instructions issued by the Israel Home Front Command.
Previous warning amid rising tensions
On Friday, the embassy had already alerted Uzbek nationals in Israel, urging them to pay serious attention to their personal safety in light of the current regional situation.
Citizens were advised to avoid locations where public events are being held, refrain from staying for extended periods in crowded areas, and exercise caution when planning movements and travel. The embassy also recommended considering postponing trips to certain areas temporarily.
Escalation between Israel and Iran
On February 28, Israel carried out airstrikes against Iran. Reports indicated that the United States also took part in the operation.
According to available information, targets included an intelligence facility, the presidential complex, Tehran airport, and the residence of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Airspace over both Israel and Iran has been closed. Shortly after the strikes, Iran announced that it would launch retaliatory attacks. An official from the Ministry of Defense stated that all necessary measures were being taken to carry out a response.
