Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran discuss regional security in phone call
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Iran have held a telephone conversation to discuss the evolving regional situation, stressing the vital necessity of resolving all disagreements through diplomatic channels.
Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, spoke with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, to review current security challenges. During the exchange, both sides expressed concern over the regional climate, noting that further escalation could lead to severe humanitarian consequences and heightened security risks for the entire area.
The ministers reaffirmed their consistent and principled position that all disputes and disagreements must be resolved exclusively by peaceful means. They emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable tools for ensuring long-term stability and preventing further conflict.
During the conversation, Bakhtiyor Saidov also expressed his deep condolences regarding the loss of civilian lives. He conveyed words of sympathy to the families affected by recent events, highlighting the humanitarian impact of the ongoing regional instability.
