Russia, China and Afghanistan lead Uzbekistan’s export markets
Uzbekistan’s exports reached $1.7 billion in January 2026, marking a significant increase compared with the same period last year, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee.
The country’s export volume grew by 26.7 percent year-on-year, showing stronger external demand for Uzbek goods and continued expansion of trade with key international partners.
Russia remained Uzbekistan’s largest export market in January, accounting for the highest share of shipments.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the top ten countries by export value during the month were:
- Russia – $325.8 million
- China – $178.1 million
- Afghanistan – $136.7 million
- France – $103.6 million
- Turkey – $84.3 million
- Kazakhstan – $81.6 million
- Kyrgyzstan – $46.5 million
- Tajikistan – $45.7 million
- United Arab Emirates – $41.4 million
- United States – $32.1 million
The data indicates that neighboring countries and major global economies continue to play a key role in Uzbekistan’s export structure. Russia and China together accounted for more than $500 million in exports during the month.
Regional partners such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan also remained among the leading destinations for Uzbek goods, stressing the importance of Central Asian and nearby markets in the country’s trade flows.
