According to information from the Duty Department of the Urta Chirchik District Internal Affairs Bureau, the incident occurred in a house located on Guzal Street within the "Yangi Turmush" neighborhood. Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office, confirmed the details of the tragedy to the media.

The victims, who had been living temporarily at the premises, represent three generations of a single family:

  • S.M. – a woman born in 1946;
  • Yu.D. – her grandson, born in 1988;
  • J.M. – her great-grandson, born in 2008.

Forensic medical examinations conducted following the discovery of the bodies confirmed the cause of death for all three individuals as "acute carbon monoxide poisoning."

The district prosecutor's office has officially initiated a pre-investigation probe to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the leak. Authorities are looking into the heating systems and safety compliance within the home to identify the source of the lethal gas.

Carbon monoxide – often referred to as the "silent killer" – remains a significant concern during the heating season, and officials urge citizens to remain vigilant regarding the maintenance of gas equipment and ventilation systems.
