Man, his three children killed in overnight fire in Tashkent region

Four people, including three children, have died in a house fire in the Urta Chirchiq district of Tashkent region.

The incident occurred overnight between April 15 and 16 in a private home in the “Urta Ovul” neighborhood, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A man born in 1996 and his three minor children were killed in the fire. His wife and mother were rescued and taken to the hospital, where they are reported to be in serious condition.

According to preliminary information, the man tried to save his family. He managed to help his wife and mother escape through a window, but died while attempting to rescue his children.

Neighbors said they were awakened by a loud noise during the night.

“There was a loud bang. Everyone ran outside. We were very frightened,” one resident said.

Investigation is ongoing.
