Uzbekistan ranks as cheapest in region for mobile connectivity — report
Uzbekistan offers the lowest mobile costs among countries in the Eurasian Economic Union and Central Asia, according to the Ranking portal.
In Uzbekistan, a typical package with 5 GB of data, 140 minutes of calls, and 20 SMS messages costs about $2.32 per month on average.
Kyrgyzstan comes next, with a similar package at $2.87, while in Belarus the price is $4.99.
Turkmenistan is the most expensive market in the region, with the same package costing more than $51 per month. Kazakhstan follows at $11.8.
Kazakhstan also has the fastest mobile internet in the region, with median download speeds reaching 93.68 Mbps in March.
In Uzbekistan, mobile internet speeds have continued to rise, from 51.42 Mbps in January to 55.19 Mbps in March.
