Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical production exceeds UZS 2.3 trillion in five months
Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical output topped UZS 2.3 trillion in January-May 2026, marking a 29.4% increase compared with the same period last year.
According to the National Statistics Committee, Tashkent accounted for the largest share of production, with pharmaceutical output totaling UZS 1.4 trillion.
Among the regions, Syrdarya ranked second with production worth UZS 345.7 billion, followed by Tashkent region with UZS 163.9 billion and Namangan region with UZS 131.5 billion.
Samarkand region produced pharmaceutical goods worth UZS 91.5 billion during the reporting period, while Andijan and Fergana regions recorded output of UZS 52.2 billion and UZS 45.4 billion, respectively.
Production in Surkhandarya region amounted to UZS 38.1 billion. Kashkadarya, Khorezm, and Bukhara regions produced pharmaceutical products worth UZS 11 billion, UZS 6.6 billion, and UZS 5.3 billion, respectively.
The Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded pharmaceutical production totaling UZS 2.5 billion during the first five months of the year.
