More than 80,200 vehicles of all types, including passenger cars, were sold during the month, up 18% from 68,000 in May.
Sales increased in nearly every part of the country, with Jizzakh region the only exception, posting a 2.2% decline.
The strongest monthly growth was recorded in Surkhandarya region, where sales rose 33.7%, followed by Khorezm region with 32.6%, Syrdarya region with 29%, Samarkand region with 28.3%, Kashkadarya region with 26.2%, and Andijan region with 26%.

Passenger car sales recover from May
Passenger car sales totaled 61,400 units in June, marking a 14% increase month-on-month. Compared with June 2025, however, sales were still down by more than 23%, from around 80,000 vehicles.
Sales of new passenger cars rose 11% over the month to 24,000 units. On an annual basis, however, the market contracted, with 27,700 new passenger cars sold in June last year.
The recovery was driven mainly by domestically produced vehicles, whose sales increased 12% to 18,800 units.
Sales of newly imported passenger cars also improved, rising nearly 7% to almost 5,100 units.
During the first six months of 2026, Uzbekistan sold a total of 157,000 new passenger cars, up 3.5% compared with the same period last year.
The secondary market expanded at an even faster pace in June. Sales of used passenger cars exceeded 37,000 units, rising by more than 16% from May and outpacing growth in the primary market.
As a result, used vehicles accounted for nearly 61% of all passenger car transactions completed during the month.
Despite the monthly improvement, activity in the secondary market remained weaker than a year earlier. Nearly 240,000 used passenger cars were sold in the first half of 2026, representing an 18% decline compared with the same period in 2025.
EV sales accelerate
Sales of electric vehicles across both the primary and secondary markets reached 8,400 units in June, up 63.5% from May.
During the first half of 2026, more than 40,000 electric vehicles were sold nationwide, an increase of 40% compared with the corresponding period last year.
Most regions recorded higher electric vehicle sales in June. Syrdarya region was the only area to post a decline, with sales falling by 2.9%.
Jizzakh region recorded the strongest growth, where the market more than doubled with a 101% increase. Sales also rose by 64.6% in Bukhara region and by 58.5% in Fergana region.
Tashkent continued to dominate the country's electric vehicle market. Nearly 63% of all electric vehicle sales nationwide were made in the capital, where monthly sales climbed 78% to 5,300 units.
