3. Add the driver.
You can select a driver from your list of relatives or add another person using their personal details.

You can name several drivers in a single power of attorney. The service allows you to add up to five people.

The system checks the driver’s license information. If the license cannot be found in the database, you will not be able to issue the power of attorney until the information has been updated.

4. Select the validity period.
The portal offers three options: up to one month, up to six months and up to three years.

How to issue a power of attorney through SafeRoad YHXX

1. Open the app and go to “Xizmatlar”.

2. Select “Ishonchnoma rasmiylashtirish”.
3. Select the vehicle.

4. Specify the validity period of the power of attorney and its start date.

5. Add the driver and enter their details: full name, date of birth, passport or ID card details and PINFL.

6. Check the information and tap “Rasmiylashtirish”.

7. Proceed to payment.

The app charges 82,400 soums for the service. This fee may differ from the state duty charged through my.gov.uz.

After payment, the power of attorney is saved in the app. You can check its validity period and the driver’s details there.

When you need a notarized power of attorney

If a person needs not only to drive the vehicle but also to manage it on behalf of the owner, a notarized power of attorney is required. It can authorize the holder to sell or gift the vehicle, pledge it as collateral and carry out other actions specified in the power of attorney.

The person receiving the power of attorney does not need to be present when it is issued. The power of attorney is issued by the grantor.

What documents are required

The following documents may be required to issue a power of attorney:

• an identity document of the grantor;
• the vehicle registration certificate;
• a copy of the identity document of the authorized person;
• consent from all owners;
• consent from the pledgee if the vehicle is pledged as collateral;
• consent from the guardianship and trusteeship authorities if the power of attorney is issued on behalf of a minor, an incapacitated person or a person with limited legal capacity;
• a copy of the inheritance certificate if the vehicle was inherited;
• documents confirming the relationship if the power of attorney is issued to a close relative.

Additional documents may be required in certain cases.

How much does a notarized power of attorney cost?

The state duty depends on who the power of attorney is issued to. For close relatives, it is 50% of the BCV, while for other persons it is 2 BCVs.

How to cancel a power of attorney

An electronic power of attorney can be canceled through my.gov.uz. A notarized power of attorney must be canceled through a notary. To do this, the grantor submits an application for cancellation. After the signature is notarized, the cancellation is entered into the register. The grantor receives a copy of the application to notify the person to whom the power of attorney was issued.

Who receives traffic fines if someone else is driving the vehicle?

A power of attorney itself does not transfer responsibility for traffic violations to the driver. For this, my.gov.uz offers a separate service called “Transfer of responsibility for a traffic violation to another person”.

The vehicle owner specifies the details of the person who was actually driving, their PINFL and the period during which they used the vehicle. The driver confirms that they accept responsibility using an electronic signature (ERI), Mobile-ID or Face ID. Once confirmed, the information is automatically transferred to the Road Safety Service system.
