According to data from the National Statistics Committee, Tashkent city accounted for the overwhelming majority, with 88,496 electric vehicles registered. Tashkent region followed with 9,546, while Samarkand region had 4,870.
Khorezm region ranked next with 3,784 electric vehicles, followed by Kashkadarya region with 3,045 and Fergana region with 2,442.
Navoi region had 2,227 electric vehicles, Bukhara region 1,963 and Andijan region 1,607. The Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded 1,387, while Namangan region had 1,237.
The remaining regions had fewer than 1,000 registered electric vehicles each. Syrdarya region had 993, Jizzakh region 701 and Surkhandarya region 429.
Tashkent city alone accounted for about 72% of all registered electric vehicles in the country.
