On Eid al-Fitr, metro services will begin one hour earlier than usual, with the first trains departing at 4:00 a.m.
The metro operator also announced schedule changes for the surrounding days:
- March 20–21 – trains will run on a Saturday schedule;
- March 22–23 – trains will operate on a Sunday schedule.
Passengers are advised to take these changes into account when planning their travel.
Earlier, authorities confirmed additional public holidays in Uzbekistan in connection with Eid al-Fitr and Navruz.
Employees working a five-day week will have four consecutive days off from March 20 to 23, while those on a six-day schedule will receive three consecutive days off from March 20 to 22.
Under labor legislation, if a public holiday falls on a weekend, the day off is moved to the next working day. Accordingly, the day off for Navruz, celebrated on March 21, will be transferred to March 23.
