Isroil Madrimov leaves amateur boxing once and for all
Isroil Madrimov, defending middleweight champion representing Uzbekistan, after suffering defeat to Tursunbay Kulahhmet of Kazakhstan, announced he would leave amateur boxing.
Madrimov, following the bout, criticized the referee saying he had won the fight.
“This was the last time, I will no longer compete in such competitions! After unfair refereeing at the last World Cup, I said that I would no longer contend in amateur boxing. I won today's fight, everyone saw this! What happened here today will serve as an incentive for me to switch to professionals boxing,” Isroil Madrimov told Tribuna.uz.
It should be reminded that Isroil Madrimov, who defeated his opponent from Vietnam in the previous match, lost to Tursunbay Kulahhmet of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals of the Asian Boxing Championships in Bangkok.
