Gafur Rahimov elected President of WBC EuroAsia

Uzbek sports figure Gafur Rahimov has been unanimously elected President of WBC EuroAsia, the World Boxing Council (WBC) announced during its 63rd convention in Bangkok, Thailand.

During the convention, the CISBB (Commonwealth of Independent States and Black Sea Boxing Bureau) was officially renamed WBC EuroAsia. The rebranding is being seen as the beginning of a new strategic alliance bridging Europe and Asia.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman warmly congratulated Rahimov, acknowledging his long-standing service and dedication to the WBC family.
