Mirziyoyev speaks about problems of public education

According to a Kun.uz correspondent, during his speech, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the problems of public education.
“1,695 schools are in need of major repairs. There are still 179 mud-built schools in the country, and more than 3,000 schools need additional buildings. New blocks are being built in the republic, rural infrastructure is expanding, as a result, another 270 schools need to be built,” the head of state said.
It also became known that there are no sports halls in 2.3 thousand schools. Graduates of 84 schools could not enter any university. The book fund in many schools has not been updated for years.
“National musical instruments are available only in 615 schools,” Mirziyoyev said.
