Uzbekistan and Egypt plan to create a joint logistics center

Uzbekistan and Egypt are planning to establish a joint logistics center, the Ministry for Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan says.

On September 5, within the framework of the Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El Sisi’s official visit to Tashkent, a business forum and B2B talks will be held between Uzbekistan and Egypt.

"The event will be attended by entrepreneurs and representatives of other business circles of both countries. Following the talks, it is planned to sign mutually beneficial investment and trade agreements in the field of tourism, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering and others. Besides, the forum will focus on the creation of logistics center in Uzbekistan," the Ministry said.

As reported earlier, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdul Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil El Sisi will be paying an official visit to Uzbekistan on September 4-5, 2018, on the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan.

At the upcoming summit, the sides are expected to exchange views on promising areas of Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation and discuss international and regional issues of mutual concern.
