Human traffickers in Navoi arrested

Navoi Regional Department for Fighting Terrorism and Extremism and the regional administration of the State Security Service uncovered a human trafficking chain, "Khalk Suzi" reports.

One of the members of this criminal group, D. G., cooperating with Dilnoza in Turkey, exploited girls and women from Navoi region to Istanbul.

D.G. was caught red-handed while trying to send Kh. Ch., born in 1988, resident of "Qoracha" village, Khatirchi district and Yu.R., born in 1991, resident of Navoiy city from Tashkent International Airport with an air ticket from her criminal contact Dilnoza in Turkey.

"Citizen D.G. was sentenced to 5 years and 1 month imprisonment in 2016 in accordance with Article 223 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the remaining part of the sentence was exchanged to corrective self-conduct activities as a tolerance provided by the government. D.G. does not seem to have made conclusion from her past mistakes. Now it will take quite a long time for her to repent," said Uktam Usmanov, head of the press service of the regional interior ministry.
