French President Emmanuel Macron plans to visit Uzbekistan

The President of France Emmanuel Macron, at a ceremony in Paris on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of World War I, stated that he is ready to pay a visit to Uzbekistan.

On November 10, the ceremony took place in Paris. The delegation of Uzbekistan, which was headed by Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Nigmatilla Yuldashev, also attended the event. More than 120 heads of state or government representatives were present at the ceremony.

Within the framework of the gathering held at the d'Orsay Museum, the Uzbek delegation conducted a brief conversation with Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel. The French President said he highly appreciated Shavkat Mirziyayev’s official state visit on October 8-9.

During the meeting with the German Chancellor, Ms. Merkel stressed that Germany is preparing for the visit of the Uzbek President. In early 2019, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to pay an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
