Illegal export of over $ 25,000 cash prevented at Tashkent International Airport
Tashkent International Airport customs officers prevented the illegal export of foreign currency in cash outside the country, State Customs Committee reports.
Citizen Sh. Sh. captured customs officials’ attention, while moving through the “green” corridor. He was rushing to catch the flight “Tashkent-Kabul”.
After that, the passenger was examined in an appropriate manner. It was identified that he had hidden $ 25,350 cash in the pocket of his jacket, which exceeds the amount specified for individuals. The passenger neither declared, nor mentioned the money while filling in the declaration form.
It should be noted that all information about the order of transporting cash foreign currency is presented in Uzbek, Russian and English languages on information stands at Tashkent International Airport. Therefore, ignorance of the customs legislation does not relieve someone of legal liabilities.
Currently, customs inspection is underway on the case.
