Uzbekistan, Japan sum up results of cooperation in 2018
Today on Monday, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Nobuaki Ito.
During the conversation, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral relations, and summed up the results of cooperation in 2018.
It is worth noting that in 2018, bilateral contacts progressively developed in almost all areas of interaction. The 14th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Committees of Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as the 2nd meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum between the sides were successfully held in Tokyo.
As a result of introducing a visa-free regime for citizens of Japan, number of tourists coming from this country to Uzbekistan has increased by 48% in January-November 2018 compared to the same period last year.
