Valentina Matviyenko to visit Uzbekistan in 2019

Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matviyenko has announced that she plans to visit Uzbekistan in 2019, TASS reports.

“For me the CIS countries are the most important. I have an invitation to visit Uzbekistan and I am planning it for the coming year,” Matviyenko told reporters at a press conference on Monday.

This year the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation signed an agreement on cooperation. The document was inked during Nigmatilla Yuldashev’s visit to Moscow recently.

According to the officials of the parties, the agreement strengthens the legal framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
