“Photography Life” founder of Uzbek origin to prepare a photo album about Uzbekistan
At the invitation of the State Committee for Tourism Development, famous photographers of Photography Life Nasim Mansurov, William Maher and Patrick Kelly arrived in Uzbekistan, Khalk Suzi writes.
Within a month, a creative group will work out a photo album about sights, artisans, developing folk crafts, and the social as well as public life of Uzbekistan to promote its touristic potential. The masters of photo art from the USA began their trip from Andijan - the Motherland of the great statesman, commander and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
“I come from the city of Margilan,” says the head of the creative team, Nasim Mansurov. “The independence and sovereignty of our country opened the way for Uzbeks to see the world, show their best qualities. 20 years ago I went to study in the USA, at the University of Colorado. After graduating, I worked and gained valuable experience traveling long and wide. But in my heart there was a dream - to introduce my native Uzbekistan to the world, where great scientists, educators, poets lived and worked. By means of light-painting, shooting the images of my countrymen, I want to reveal their inner world, friendliness. The dream has finally come true. I have my own website “Photographylife.com”, which is visited by five million Internet users every month and with our help they will learn more about the country.
The guests began their acquaintance with Andijan by visiting the architectural ensemble “Jami”, boutiques, where products of all kinds of artisans are represented.
The album will contain photos of a young doll maker Nigora Rakhimova, gold embroidery expert Iroda Karabaeva, who has trained more than 100 students, the jeweler Nazimzhan Hashimov and many other Uzbek masters who have presentable skills.
American photojournalists will stay in Andijan for three days, take dozens of photographs from all cities and districts of the region and continue their trip around the country.
