Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructs to create a commission to assist victims of the accident in Kazakhstan

Earlier, it was reported that on April 20, at 5:09 am local time, at the 181-kilometer of the Almaty-Tashkent highway, a total of 11 people were killed and 29 were injured as a result of a traffic accident with participation of a Van Hool passenger bus carrying 47 people.

“Employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan immediately arrived at the scene of the incident. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are taking all necessary actions together,” the Emergencies Ministry said in a statement.

It also became known that on the instructions of Shavkat Mirziyoyev a government commission was set up, which included representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Health and other departments. The members of the commission have already arrived at the scene to organize provision of assistance to the victims and study causes of the accident.

The government commission was instructed to arrange delivery of the deceased and injured to Uzbekistan in coordination with the Kazakh side and provide all necessary assistance to their families.
