First Tajik plant to open in Urgut FEZ

Urg-Taj joint venture for the production of polypropylene yarn for carpet products is planned to be opened in the Urgut Free Economic Zone, Samarkand region, STV reports.
According to the publication, entrepreneurs in this area are exempt from 10 types of taxes, income tax and pension contributions from 3 to 10 years.
It is assumed that the joint venture will be able to produce goods worth $2.9 million.
“In two years, the plant has attracted more than 60 foreign investors who are implementing projects worth $232 million,” first deputy khokim of the Urgut district Gayrat Abdurahmanov says.
