CCTV cameras being installed in Tashkent buses

Toshshahartranskhizmat has begun installing CCTV cameras in the capital’s buses, the company’s press service said.
Video cameras in pilot mode were launched on 5 buses of the route No.24. Video surveillance will improve the safety of citizens in public transport.
“Also, the main function of a video surveillance system is to increase traffic safety. Using video surveillance helps in detecting suspicious objects or potential terrorists, stopping property damage, taking into account passenger flow to optimize transport routes, resolving disputes in the event of an accident and identifying the driver’s guilt/innocence, in a number of other cases,” the report says.
