Uzbek military snipers to take part in international competitions in Kazakhstan
Military snipers of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and India will take part in competitions of special reconnaissance groups, which will be held on the territory of the “Spassk” training center in the Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan from August 28 to September 3, Kazakhstan Defense Ministry reported.
Participants will compete for the main trophy – the “Altyn ukі-2019” gold cup. Today, the opening ceremony of the competition took place.
The competition consists of 12 stages. The atmosphere is as close to combat as possible. Participants will gradually work out the elements of one operation: from preparing the group for a combat mission to evacuation. Special military forces unit will demonstrate movement behind enemy lines, actions upon detection, reconnaissance and incapacitation of the enemy, live firing as part of a group and final withdrawal to the evacuation area.
The main weapon that participants will use while completing tasks is the Dragunov sniper rifle. Experts from Italy, Turkey, China, Serbia, the UAE and Turkmenistan are invited as observers.
Separate stages include tasks in military topography and mine-blasting, military medical training. The tests will be held both in the daytime and at night.
“Altyn ukі-2019” competitions have been held by the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan since 2008. Kazakhstani military personnel became the winners of the tournament eight times. This year over 100 military personnel take part in the international competition.
