Investigative department releases additional details about an explosion in Altiarik, warns citizens to comply with safety rules

As previously reported, a gas outbreak occurred in the Khamid Olimjon mahalla of the Altiarik district, Fergana region in a two-story residential building.
According to the Investigative Department under the Interior Ministry, the explosion occurred as a result of gas ignition accumulated due to leakage from a handmade gas pipeline consisting of a hose and a plastic pipe. Reportedly, the owner felt the smell of gas in the room, however, neglecting the rules of fire safety, turned on the electric lighting.
As a result of the flash, the roof of the house caught fire. The owner of the house citizen I. Kh., having received injuries and burns, turned to the district medical association. According to doctors, he had burns on his face and hands.
The investigation team inspected the scene and seized the plastic hose, used to connect the gas pipe.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being carried out on this fact.
“Dear citizens! To prevent such incidents, when entering and leaving the house, check the room for the smell of gas from a possible leak. If it is found, immediately ventilate the room and call the gas service.
Compliance with safety rules will protect you and your beloved ones from possible incidents,” the message says.
