Uzbekistan launches conscription for military service

The President signed a decree on the next scheduled stage of military conscription of citizens and dismissal of military servicemen of the Armed Forces, who have served the established terms of service.
According to the document, citizens of Uzbekistan, who are of age and who do not have the right to deferment of military service, will be conscripted in March-April 2020.
Citizens, who are fit for military service and do not have the right to deferment and release from it, but not drafted into the Armed Forces in the course of this conscription, will be credited to the mobilization reserve.
In addition, military personnel, who have served the established term of military service in March-April 2020, will be dismissed into the Armed Forces reserve.
