State to allocate subsidies for provision of water to household lands
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution on measures of state support for the provision of water to household lands of the population and land plots not used in agriculture, in regions with difficult water supply conditions, Norma writes.
The state will allocate subsidies to cover part of the cost of drilling vertical wells, purchase of devices for pumping water from rivers, canals and other water bodies for irrigation of household lands of the population and land plots not used in agriculture in regions with difficult water supply conditions.
Subsidies are allocated on the following conditions and amounts:
• 50% of the cost of introducing each hectare into use, but not more than 50 BCAs;
• 100 thousand soums for each meter of the well, but not more than 50 times the size of the BCAs to cover the costs of drilling and putting into operation each vertical well with a depth of more than 10 meters for irrigation of household lands of the population;
• 70% of the costs associated with the drilling and commissioning of a vertical well for irrigation of household lands of at least 30 owners, but not more than 120 million soums.
The decree also established that every year, until April 1 and August 1, the Council of Farmers, Dekhkans and household landowners, along with the Ministry of Mahalla and Family Support and the Ministry of Water Management, will form and approve a targeted program of vertical boreholes, drilled in places with inadequate water supply.
Subsidies are financed according to the lists drawn up by the Council of Farms in cooperation with the Ministry of Water Resources, in 2020-2021 from the Anti-Crisis Fund, and starting from 2022 – from the resources of the Fund for the support of farmers, dekhkans and household landowners under the Council of Farmers.
