Six people arrested in Namangan for kidnapping a citizen and robbing him
Criminal proceedings have been instituted under Part 2, Paragraph “v” of Article 137 (kidnapping) and Part 2, Paragraph “b” of Article 164 (aggression) and Part 2, Paragraph “b” of Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
On August 11 at 16:00, 40-year-old A.K., 39-year-old R.K., 23-year-old A.K., 35-year-old B.B., 33-year-old S.A. and 30-year-old J.A. came to a car repair shop on the I. Karimov Street in Namangan.
According to the Investigation Department under the MIA, in order to seize another person’s property, they demanded to return the previously provided loan of 95,000,000 soums from 28-year-old Sh.K., who worked there. He was beaten by various parts of his body for no reason.
Allegedly, they placed Sh.K. into a Gentra car by force, kidnapped and took him to an unfinished building on the Ziyonur Street in Namangan, where Sh.K. was beaten. They obtained 5,000,000 soums through aggression.
On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Namangan city DIA initiated a criminal case under Part 2, Paragraph “v” of Article 137 (kidnapping) and Part 2, Paragraph “b” of Article 164 (aggression) and Part 2, Paragraph “b” of Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
All the perpetrators of this crime have been arrested, they have been attracted in the criminal case as defendants. A precautionary measure in the form of detention is applied against them.
The investigative actions are underway, the statement reads.
