Chief Imam-khatib of Yakkabag district dies

Chief Imam-khatib of the Yakkabag district, Kashkadarya region, Tokhir Ismatillayev has died, the press service of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan reported.
It is noted that Ismatillayev had served effectively in the religious field for many years. He was the chief imam of the Yakkabag district, at the same time, served as the Imam-khatib of the “Eski Kurgan” mosque.
The Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers and the staff of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan have expressed deep condolences on his death.
Kun.uz also expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
