According to the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, direct air services will be established from airports in nine regional centers – Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Termez, and Urgench – providing streamlined access to the holy city of Medina.
The logistics for this year's pilgrimage involve a partnership between international carriers. The Saudi low-cost airline, Flyadeal, has been tasked with transporting pilgrims from Uzbekistan to Medina. The return phase of the journey, expected to begin in the first week of June, will be operated by the national carrier, Uzbekistan Airways.
The Muslim Board’s press service confirmed to Kun.uz that Uzbekistan has once again been allocated a quota of 15,000 pilgrims for the current year. According to the Center for the Organization of Hajj and Umrah Events, the cost of the pilgrimage per person has been set at UZS 77,073,000, which is approximately $6,400.
Preparations for the season are already in their final stages. All pilgrims have undergone mandatory medical examinations and received vaccinations against meningitis. The processing of official Hajj visas and other necessary documentation is complete, and group leaders have been assigned to conduct pre-departure orientation sessions.
To ensure a comfortable journey, each pilgrim is being provided with a specialized kit that includes the "Hajj – a Great Worship" guidebook, a travel bag, a vest, a thermos, an umbrella, a mobile SIM card, and a power bank. Meanwhile, advance working groups are currently stationed in Saudi Arabia, collaborating with local partners to finalize accommodation arrangements and prepare the necessary facilities in the valleys of Mina and Arafat.
For those planning for future seasons, the authorities have noted that citizens can now register for the electronic Hajj queue in advance. This can be done via two digital channels – the Single Interactive State Services Portal (My.gov.uz) and the official website www.haj-umra.gov.uz.
