Criminal case initiated on explosion of oxygen cylinder in a complex for treatment of COVID-19 patients
On October 7, at 08:13, an oxygen cylinder exploded on the territory of the sports complex “Alpomish”, located in the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, a criminal case has been initiated on the explosion case under Article 257 (violation of labor protection rules) of the Criminal Code.
The investigation will be conducted by employees of the Syrdarya regional DIA.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the sports complex had been transformed into a medical facility to treat people with coronavirus infection.
As a result of the explosion, one person has been hospitalized with minor injuries.
