Citizen of Uzbekistan stabbed to death in Turkey

According to the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office, on February 23 this year, a citizen of Uzbekistan was stabbed. He died of his injuries at the Başakşehir State Hospital in Istanbul. 

The supervisory body instituted a criminal case on intentional infliction of grievous bodily injury. An investigation is ongoing.

The case is being closely monitored by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the report says.

The Consulate General said they have provided the necessary legal assistance to the family members of the deceased to take the corpse back to Uzbekistan for burial.
