Schools in Tashkent where coronavirus is detected will be closed for quarantine
From March 16 in Tashkent, schools with a chain of coronavirus infection cases will be closed for quarantine. Kun.uz correspondent reports citing a source in the Tashkent city Public Education Department.
“Starting from tomorrow, schools where coronavirus has been detected and the disease chain is spreading will be closed for quarantine. The educational process will be carried out online,” a source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.
In recent days, the number of coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan is growing. On March 14, 111 people tested positive for coronavirus.
Malika Kudratkhodjayeva, head of the Tashkent city department of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Health, said that the virus is detected mainly among schoolchildren, students and employees of organizations.
