A decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to improve the system of supporting entrepreneurship and further improve the business climate” has been adopted.
Thus, in order to maintain continuous entrepreneurial activity from June 1, taxpayers who are not able to pay tax debt are granted the right to pay them in installments. This benefit applies to entities operating for more than three years and paying taxes in time.
According to the STC, more than 201.3 thousand legal entity taxpayers (67.7%) have been operating for more than three years. As a result of interviews, the problems of 43.5 thousand legal entities were segmented, and 13 thousand entities requested optimization of budget relations.
Last year, in accordance with presidential decrees, in order to alleviate the negative impact of the pandemic, the business sector was granted tax benefits and relief in the amount of more than 7.7 trillion soums. Moreover, the collection of tax arrears in the amount of 1.3 trillion soums from 224 thousand entities was suspended.
The businesses, in turn, voluntarily and promptly paid 95% of the accrued taxes, the STC added.
