Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to launch Silk Road Visa project by year end
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to complete work on the implementation of the joint Silk Road Visa project by the end of the year, Sputnik Kazakhstan writes with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan.
At the initial stage, the project will include only Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
According to the Kazakh Ministry of Culture, the regulation on the multiple-entry electronic tourist visa and a single list of countries whose citizens can apply for such a visa have already been agreed upon by the parties. Negotiations are underway to introduce a unified electronic system for issuing visas.
It is expected that the “Asian Schengen” will include in the future Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. The multiple-entry e-tourist visa will allow tourists from all over the world to visit several countries on a single tour package, the Kazakh Ministry of Culture said.
