Samarkand: one dead in gas station explosion
The explosion happened at 14:36 on July 8 in the Samarkand district, Samarkand region.

The press service of the regional Emergency Department reports that the cause of the explosion was welding work on a 25-ton underground fuel tank.
Five fire and rescue crews of the MES promptly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish fire.
According to the reports, one person died in the explosion, another received thermal burns. A pre-investigation check of the incident is ongoing.
