Tashkent records its highest temperature in last 140 years
The capital of Uzbekistan endures abnormal heatwave.
According to Uzgidromet, Tashkent has broken the 140-year temperature record.
To note, the record was registered on 6 July 1881, when temperature in Tashkent stood at 44.1C. However, even then the average daily temperature was within 28.1 degrees.
On 6 July 2021, the temperature in the capital reached maximum of 41.5C, but the average daily temperature was 5.7C higher than in 1881.
Earlier, we reported that Uzbekistan broke its the record from 80 years ago.
On July 6-8, the temperature in Uzbekistan soared, which was caused by low-pressure area over the Central Asia.
