Uzbekistan sends about 200 military personnel to take part in a joint exercise in Tajikistan
About 200 Uzbek military personnel arrived at the Harb-Maidon training ground to take part in a joint exercise of units of the armed forces of Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The exercise will take place from 5 to 10 August at the Harb-Maidon training ground on the territory of Tajikistan, the Defense Ministry of Russia reported.
Arriving at the training area, the servicemen deployed command posts and began to equip firing positions. In total, more than 20 units of military equipment will be involved in the exercise from Uzbekistan.
At the main stage of the exercise, the military personnel of the three countries will work out tactical actions to destroy an illegal armed formation that crossed the state border.
