Uzbekistan to build a new mosque in Kazakhstan
Uzbekistan will build a mosque for 5,000 people in Kazakhstan. The work is planned to be completed next year. The mosque is being built at the entrance to the city of Turkestan, the press service of the akim of Turkestan reports.
“The new project is supported by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The construction of such a mosque is a gift from neighboring Uzbekistan to Turkestan. The interior and exterior decoration of the Islamic center, the architecture of which is unique, is carried out in an oriental style,” the statement says.
The new mosque will accommodate up to 5 thousand people. The total area of the Islamic Center is 20,000 square meters.
