“Business entities have stolen 9.5 billion soums worth of electricity” – Ministry of Energy

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the Uzenergoinspektsiya under the Ministry is constantly investigating cases of illegal use of electricity by businesses.

In particular, in the past period of this year, cases of illegal use of electricity by some businesses in the amount of 9 billion 504 million soums were revealed. Reportedly, this amount of electricity is the monthly consumption of 107,000 people.

The inspection documents were sent to law enforcement agencies for taking an action in accordance with the legislation.

The control measures specified by Uzenergoinspektsiya continue.
