Sherzod Pardayev said that the ministry has developed a plan to increase the salaries of employees.
“In 2018, by presidential decree, the salaries of teachers and preschool education workers were increased. The salaries of educators, psychologists, speech therapists with higher education in kindergartens were equal to the salaries of teachers in public education schools. In 2019, due to the increase in teachers’ salaries, the salaries of preschool educators and employees decreased by 10-25%.
The Ministry of Preschool Education, accurately assessing the situation, sent its proposals to the Ministry of Finance. It has proposed to equate the wages of educators of preparatory groups (with higher education) with the wages of school teachers,” he said.
Also, according to the ministerial representative, it is planned to increase the salaries of other workers in the industry: teacher-methodologists, teacher assistants, heads of preschool educational institutions – in proportion to the salaries of teachers. For example, it is proposed to increase the salary of kindergarten teacher-methodologists by 5% higher than that of educators, the salary of the director of a preschool educational institution is more than that of a methodologist, and the salary of employees of the district department of preschool education is higher than that of directors of preschool education.
“In addition, the question of the salaries of kindergarten cooks is relevant. According to the plan, we have proposed to double their salaries.
According to our initial estimates, the implementation of this project will require an average of $1.5 trillion per year. A proposal to raise preschool wages is currently being examined by the Ministry of Finance. If it is possible to allocate funds from state budget revenues, then the project will be implemented from 2022.
In accordance with the concept of the status of teachers in foreign countries, teachers receive the same salary regardless of whether they work in a school or kindergarten. Because their status is the same. We also offered our projects to equalize the salaries of teachers/educators of the same direction, working in schools and kindergartens. In the future, the salaries of schoolteachers and preschool education workers should be the same. Of course, the teaching staff of the same direction is meant. This category includes teachers and educators, but not technical staff,” the ministerial spokesman said.
