Powers of Cabinet of Ministers in regulating water relations expanded
Amendments and additions have been made to the Law "On Water and Water Use". The powers of the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of regulation of water relations have been expanded.

In particular, these include the implementation of measures aimed at the development of water management, rational use of water, its efficient use, mitigating the negative consequences of water shortages, approval of other programs on water and water use, as well as approval of the procedure for state support for the introduction of water-saving technologies.
Also, the powers of local government bodies in regulating water relations have been supplemented with the following:
- assistance in the formation and approval of address lists for the introduction of water-saving irrigation technologies, as well as in their implementation;
- ensuring the observance of the rights and legitimate interests of water consumers associations, assistance in the implementation of measures for the repair and restoration of irrigation and collector-drainage networks and the delivery of water to household plots.
It has been clarified that water bodies or their parts can be transferred to use on the basis of PPP and other conditions in the manner prescribed by law, with the exception of reservoirs as well as large and especially important water facilities.
