Mirziyoyev sends condolences to the people and President of Kazakhstan
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to brotherly Kazakhstan in connection with the tragic events, which resulted in the death of servicemen and civilians.
Mirziyoyev wished speedy recovery to the injured, his spokesman, Sherzod Asadov, said.
Today, January 10, is the day of national mourning in Kazakhstan.
About 8,000 people have been arrested in Kazakhstan over the recent unrest. The numbers on how many people died are not clear yet. So far, 18 security personnel, 2 military personnel and 16 policemen have been confirmed dead.
