MFA: There is no information about Uzbek citizens being detained in Kazakhstan
A list of citizens wishing to return to Uzbekistan from Almaty has been compiled. They will be repatriated via Uzbekistan Airways.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has briefed on the events in Kazakhstan.
“The Uzbek Foreign Ministry is constantly monitoring the situation in neighboring Kazakhstan.
Operative staffs have been set up at the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan – the Embassy in Nur-Sultan, the Consulates General in Almaty and Aktau.
Particular attention is paid to citizens in difficult situations. Communication was established with students. Necessary assistance is being provided to them. Citizens waiting for their flight at the airport in the city of Nur-Sultan were provided with hot meals.
Emergency assistance is being provided to establish contacts between citizens of Uzbekistan, their relatives and friends in Kazakhstan.
A list of citizens wishing to return to Uzbekistan from Almaty has been compiled. They will be returned to Uzbekistan via regular flights of Uzbekistan Airways. Currently, Almaty airport remains closed.
Diplomatic and consular missions of Uzbekistan are in constant contact with representatives of law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan. At present, there is no information about Uzbek citizens being detained,” the MFA said in a statement.
The Ministry mentioned that citizens of the country could apply to diplomatic missions in Nur-Sultan (phone number: +7 771 020 36 73), Almaty (phone number: +7 777 950 44 33) and Aktau (phone number: +7 777 599 00 51) in case of any queries.
